"Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today."
A NOTE FROM OUR FOUNDER.
"I've always believed that education is one of the vital factors in breaking the poverty cycle. Since becoming a mom in 2016, I've carried a burden in my heart. Recognizing that we are incredibly lucky to be where we are has led to a realization that we were called to go beyond, to make a difference, and to effect change; no matter how small, if we each play our part, we will see change.
We had been on the lookout for charities that made a direct impact in the lives of children through education. When a friend shared about The Rise Above Foundation, I knew we had found a meaningful starting point. We chatted with Flemming, who runs the foundation with his wife, Elisabet, and settled on sponsoring two little girls that had been waiting in line for sponsorship for way too long.
The sponsorship covers a package containing their school uniforms, PE and scout uniforms, a school bag, books, pencils and other school materials, and most importantly a daily lunch ticket to ensure they are well fed.
We are incredibly excited to journey alongside Nathaly and Jannie, and with your continuing support, we hope to sponsor more children in the coming years. Expect quarterly updates on Nathaly and Jannie through this page, and if you'd like to share other meaningful causes, please get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org."
